Bamboo Cathedral

The Bamboo Cathedral trail, located on the north coast of Trinidad near Chagaramas was a cool experience to see.  Wild bamboo that have grown tremendous tall trying to reach the sky, But instead, the weight of the stock causes the bamboo to bend and ends up shaking branches with it's neighboring kind across the path therefore forming a cathedral like structure.

Amazing how fireworks can decorate a sky.  This image was taken at Savannah Park in Port of Spain, Trinidad.  Lots of Trini spectators gathered to celebrate it's Independence from Great Britain in 1942.

The key to a good firework image is to get to the location where the fireworks display early, so you can set your equipment up and once you are satifised with all your parameters, just enjoy the festivities that are happening. Ahh I can hear the calypso music playing and having a good time with my company.

When the fireworks start to set off, click the shutter button like mad!  It's all a numbers game in catching a good image. In total I took about 130 images and I ended up with 12 images that were workable.  Not bad eh?
